About Us
GT Environment Ltd.
A European biotechnology research, development and engineering company – from microbial selection through to pilot- and industrial-scale application.
Who we are
Proprietary technologies from industrial microbiology to waste valorisation
GT Environment Ltd. is a European biotechnology research, development and engineering company developing proprietary technologies in industrial microbiology, fermentation, microbial strain development, enzyme biotechnology, sustainable agriculture and biological waste valorisation.
Our expertise spans microbial selection and strain development, fermentation process optimisation and molecular genetic methods, through to the translation of laboratory biotechnology into pilot- and industrial-scale applications.
Our technology portfolio is built on individual naturally occurring microbial strains, microbial consortia, enzymatic systems and biological processes designed to support more sustainable industrial and agricultural production and the higher-value utilisation of by-products and waste streams.

Development philosophy
We start from the feedstock
A core principle of our development philosophy is that an industrial feedstock does not necessarily need to be adapted to the requirements of a standard fermentation organism. Instead, the development programme can begin with the actual industrial feedstock, by-product or waste stream available.
Based on its actual chemical and biological composition, we select, develop or adapt the appropriate microorganism, metabolic pathway and fermentation technology. This approach makes our technology platform particularly suitable for the biotechnological valorisation of:
- agricultural and food-industry by-products,
- industrial organic waste streams,
- secondary raw materials.
